This piece is about the rising temperatures in Colorado, increasing wildfires and droughts that damage the habitats and ecosystem. I want to bring attention to all the animals, but I chose to pick the mountain lion because it is rare to see one, and with climate change, one day, we may never see them again. It is also one of my favorite animals.
The painting depicts mountains on fire and the evaporation of the lake with the mountain lion connected to them both.
